Re - Upcoming Book Harvest of Hate:  Synopsis - By
Christopher Nnoduechi, FCCJ Jacksonville FL

Roland B. Marke's Harvest of Hate is a microcosm of the
current realities of our times; Its daring anecdotes employ a
bare-knuckles mindset, depicting the malaise of greed,
conflicts, blood-diamonds, and child soldiers in Africa.
Innocent girls or women are victims of enduring sex
slavery. Global effects of terrorism on humanity, and
Katrina's woes in the United States, are rations of a multi-
faceted recipe. The world's nightmare would diminish,
harnessing love, compassion and selflessness. Resonating
Martin Luther King's diction ;  "Injustice anywhere is a
threat to justice everywhere."

"Another big score, romances on the 'Freetown krio Aristo'
Community in Sierra Leone, West Africa known for its
pseudo-British colonial stance, arrogance, deception and
intrigue.......Ernest Cummings -Canada

"I must candidly echo that this is refreshing, outstanding
and pierces the bedrock of the human soul and spirit."

Commentary: Child Soldier - By James Shivers,
Poetry Editor

In the poem, “Child Soldier” by Roland Bankole
Marke, we are dumbfounded as the reader realizes
that the words “child” and “soldier”, far too often are
jammed together. Marke’s syntax is rapid, dense, and
poignant, “Ordeal to survive, hungry soul/Blurred
speech irrational mind” push the reader rapidly into
the space of a child soldier. Both pieces, placed
together, display again the numerous possibilities of
the word.
